Announcing the Teams Competing in the 2018 Roller Derby World Cup!

The Roller Derby World Cup 2018 is set to be the biggest single-tier Tournament in Roller Derby history.

Roller Derby has continually spread over the lifetime of the Roller Derby World Cup, and so has the number of nations attending the Cup itself. From 2011’s modest haul of 13 nations, to the 30 teams at the 2014 World Cup…

… and now, for February 2018, we have accepted

39 Teams

to come to the EventCity venue in Trafford, Greater Manchester to compete in the third Roller Derby World Cup.

All but one of the 30 teams from previous years are returning, to be joined by teams representing: Korea, the Philippines, Iceland, Russia, Iran, Romania, the Czech Republic, Austria, Poland, Costa Rica, and the Indigenous peoples of the Americas.

In collaboration with our hosts, Rainy City Roller Derby, and with the Roller Derby Nations Committee, we are excited to be able to present an event showing just how international Roller Derby is as a sport.

Ticket sales are already open (and the Early Bird tickets have already sold out)!
